Story

The places I have been are thanks to the people that have taken me there. My father started me on puns and theater; my brother helped me with video games and directing YouTube shorts; Christopher was the cousin that lured me away from my fulfilling life (and my cat) to sell my soul through contracts. How could I fall for such an evil agenda? Well, when he asked if I wanted to move from the beach to the mountains to escape going to college--I mean, to act in a few projects he had!--I thought back to the fun I had when I was making YouTube Videos and the satisfaction I felt whenever the audience applauded a performance I was in. I had known that I was happiest when I was performing for others for a while. Whether it be causing them to think about their life, draw their focus to the Lord, or just making them laugh, I knew I felt the most alive when I was "acting" or performing. The thing is, Christopher knew this, too. It was more than enough for him to use against me and drag me into his crazy projects (a few of which might actually work).

Since then, I have starred in several episodic series, been accused of murder in a play, got a new cat, was introduced to cilantro, and sneaked/snuck (there's some debate over that) my voice into a few trailers and dub overs. Throughout this journey, I have learned a few things. First, I have learned that cilantro in good in everything. Second, I have learned that my dream job to be an actor--whether it be voice acting, singing, or performing--is usable by God for His glory and our joy. Thirdly, I have learned that Christopher Stewart is an evil mastermind that has no shame in taking a young boy making games in his front yard and dragging that child into the adventure that is the life of an actor. Be warned: he will make your life better, but he will also own it. True story.

Ps. I also may have made your Chick-fil-A sandwich if you've visited Tennessee or North Carolina.

Journey

The Creative Journey
From poems to short stories. From short stories to games. From games to skits. From skits to plays. From plays to YouTube. From YouTube to Web Series. From Web Series to preparing for full length films. And that's where I am now! There's also some photography, lyric writing, and failed attempts to dance in there somewhere. I think that's what people call a journey, right?
The Faith Journey
People bash being a pastor's kid all the time, but I've never minded it. My parents made sure that I grew up in church, and I loved having someone that I could go to with questions about life or the One who put that life in me. My parents, however, never forced Christianity on me. From when I was young, I have been taught and agree with the idea that forced belief is no state of faith at all. You don't become a follower of Christ through other people- God calls you to follow Him, and you must decide if you accept His offer of love and forgiveness or if you refuse to give your life away to the One who gave it to you. When I made the decision to give my life to the Lord and the way of living He had planned for me, my parents celebrated with me but also believed that we would only know if I was truly saved based on if I was a different person after it. There was no mistaking that God changed my life that day.

Since then, I, like all people experiencing life, have been through many ups and downs; but this I know for certain- God has led me all the way. He has taught me so much, and I still know so little... yet, the following I know for certain: who I was, who I am, and Who it's all thanks to. I am truly blessed through this life, through the Word God left behind, and through a Heavenly Father that won't give up on me until His plan for me is accomplished for His glory.
