Submit for Publishing

How it works

Each year between January 1st and June 30th we accept manuscript submissions for our next year release schedule. After June 30th submissions close and all manuscripts are reviewed. Each year only 5 manuscripts will be chosen for publication from that year's submissions only. Authors will be contacted between November 1st and December 20th to let them know if their manuscript was chosen or not. The selected manuscripts and their release dates will be publicly announced at Way of the Storytellers in January each year.

First Time Press looks to encourage and celebrate the achievements of those who have a passion and a calling to write. All publishing expenses are covered, and there is no out of pocket cost for these authors once chosen for publication. 80% of all revenue generated from the sales of First Time Press books is given back to their respective authors. Only 20% is deducted, 10% to cover the cost of operations and 10% donated to missions work.
